You have no idea how hard it was to keep Sak from eating the Blow-Pops intended for ghosting.

I hung it on the upstairs fireplace mantle. I say upstairs, because we have a downstairs fireplace too. Not that we have used either of them yet. It's still summer here, afterall.
And more.
But it looked...lame. And yes, I know the IKEA mirrors aren't helping matters.

Add to mantle with some tape.
Still a little lame (that's what happen when you do grade-school projects?), but much better.
I tried to be all artsy and chic by putting a few extra up in the dining room, but I don't think I can pull it off. It need something. Maybe a "I hate spiders but these webs are so cute" sign.
And though I don't have a big pumpkin yet, there are now gourds!
Any other ideas for mantles? What's on your fall mantle?
So cute! I wish I had seen those webs a couple pf weeks ago - I tried to make some out of coffee filters, but it was an epic fail. I still have my spooky art vignette on our mantle, but I'm going to let my friend borrow the decorations for her Halloween party. After that, we'll just have some gourds and candle holders :)

ReplyDeleteThat's soooo cute!!! I love both the ghosties and the spiderwebs!! I remember making teru-teru-bozu when we were little to put on the windows (to scare away rain) with just a cotton ball and tissue, but this is great use of Halloween candy!
